Any current MacBook Air or MacBook Pro is sufficient for school use at Corpus however you need to consider a number of things;

  1. Storage is not a big issue as school work should be stored on Google Drive and this is unlimited for Students having said that, you might consider a larger drive if you plan to do a lot of video work as this normally works better from internal drives and the applications for editing videos can take a lot of space up.
  2. It's worth considering an external USB-C drive for those who have a lot of photos or music and this is a cheaper option than buying a laptop with a larger internal drive
  3. RAM is something worth thinking about as it's better to get more RAM instead of spending extra on storage as the RAM will help with the performance of the laptop, especially over time.
  4. If you are considering a second-hand laptop make sure the battery lasts at least 8 hours and works on 5Ghz WIFI.
  5. Laptop Bag is required to transport laptops around the school, it should be able to protect the laptop from more than just scratches we recommend the "STM Kitty"
  6. Apple Care is extra and due to recent changes in Australian law it can't be sold with the laptop, however, you can purchase it days after and it is definitely worth it, considering as it covers things like accidental damages etc.
