Dear SSSOs,
In the past, the standard approach, when a staff member leaves a school, has been for laptops to remain with the school position rather than the individual. This will continue to be the process moving forward. however, IT will assist with special requests as per the following process.
To keep this process simple, staff moving to another school within our diocese are now permitted to apply for a special request to take their laptops with them.
What does this mean for you?
- Please provide the staff member who would like to make the special request with the email template below, which includes a link to a Google Form.
- You will receive an email asking you to complete a Google form. This form advises IT of the request.
- Upon approval of this request by IT they will then organise for a replacement device to be supplied to your school for the incoming staff member before they begin.

Dear [Staff Member’s Name],
If you would like to take your current laptop with you to your new school within the diocese, please complete the Google Form linked below. This will notify the IT department of your request and allow them to arrange a replacement laptop for our school.
